The Intense Tazer is a dual slalom and 4 cross race bike.  This frame was the most widely and popularly used frame in top Norba races last year and for a good reason.  It is the perfect geometry and size to dominate those types of races.  If you want to win a 4 cross race or easily beat others in dual slalom, you should check the Tazer out.  You wont be dissapointed.  You can read reviews at http://www.competitivecyclist.com/mountain-bikes/frame/2008-Intense-tazer-vp-1385.html

The Intense Tazer was available in 2 versions in 2004, in both hardtail and full-suspension designs. The most concise statement of the Tazer's success comes in one easy-to-grasp statistic: The Tazer FS and Tazer HT were the most widely raced bikes in the NORBA Dual Slalom and 4-Cross circuit in 2004. In typical fashion, though, Intense refused to rest on their laurels. In 2005, the Intense Tazer Vp was introduced to replace these frames in 2005 -- merging the most distinctive features of the Tazer FS and Tazer HT, then adding an upgrade to VPP suspension.

The Intense Tazer VP FRO benefits from yet another redesign in 2009. It receives the same I-beam-style VPP link and placement found on Intense’s Tracer VP. This second-generation VPP design works to minimize chain growth by some 15-20% and reduces pedal feedback during the suspension cycle. In turn, this allows the suspension to stay more active, resulting in a plush ride with loads of traction. While the Tazer slimmed down from past iterations, the design is centered around a 2" stroke shock, yielding a buttery smooth 2:1 leverage ratio -- ideal for anyone looking for a full-suspension dirt jump bike.

It preserves the low profile, BMX-style compact design of the Tazer HT, which makes it handle like a dream both on the trail and in the air. Angular contact bearings and a beefy CNC-machined swingarm help keep the link stable and laterally stiff, enhancing the already legendary Intense tracking characteristic. The new design drastically reduces the amount of maintenance required, and makes doing it a whole lot easier. Zerk fittings can be found at the pivots which allow for lubrication without disassembly. A grease gun is used at each fitting to squirt a touch of grease in. Two minutes, and you're back on the trail. Bearings last longer, and the suspension action stays smooth and quiet. Whether your plan is to train for the NORBA DS circuit, or if you're a jump-happy trail rider obsessed with catching serious air, the Tazer VP is your dream machine.

The Intense Tazer VP FRO is disc-specific and comes equipped with a a Fox Float R shock. It accepts only a standard axle, and can run tires up to 2.35” wide. Intense recommends that you mate the Tazer VP FRO with an 80, 100 or 120mm fork and either 165mm or 170mm cranks for optimum performance. To balance the ride, Intense provides adjustable travel -- choose between 3.25" (~80mm) or 4" (~100mm) -- acheived by simple changing the pivot bolt location. A beefy Onepointfive headtube ensures maximum stiffness, and ISCG-05 tabs make installing a chain device a snap.

The Intense Tazer VP FRO is now available in just Intense Red, Pearl White or Works (raw aluminum). The Tazer VP uses a 31.6mm seatpost.
