The 6.6 is based on the same VPP platform utilized by the Spider XVP, Intense 5.5, the Uzzi VPX, and the M3. The incredible strong and light Intense-Easton hydroformed tubing, the 6 Point 6 frameset weighs in at less than 8 lbs. Additionally, the 6 Point 6 is fitted with a 1.5" head tube, which means to that Intense meant to create an all-round freeride -all mountain bike similar to compete with the Santa Cruz Nomad.
The torque-sensitive VPP system balances the downward movement of the rider with an equal and opposing upward force on the frame. This leaves the suspension neutral and able to comply with both bumps and depressions while eliminating power loss. The VPP system can maintain efficient pedaling through a large portion of the travel providing excellent acceleration even with sag. This makes the suspension more compliant and conserves rolling momentum better than a topped-out or over damped set up.
